Minimal Wave Records

Hello, I´m new here.
Since I´ve stumbled across this site, I´ve absolutely fallen in love with Minimal Wave.
My favourite record so far is H.S.T.A.  by Das Ding.
Therefore I´d like to ask for recommendations of similar stuff.

I´d be very grateful if someone could help me out on this.

Hmm, great that “our” music seems to have found a new disciple, still, given the sheer number of bands out there your post is a bit difficult to answer.

My suggestion would thus be to check out the radio section of this board (you can also download some of the shows IIRC) give the shows a good listen and to take it from there…

Yeah, I’ve been thinking about this but to most musicians at that time, the point was to try and make something they had NOT heard before, so if you succeed, you don’t sound like anyone else…

I think there’s some similarities to Stratis, or Twilight Ritual, both having some “electro” tracks, and some instrumental tracks…

We’re bordering on philosophy here though, I don’t know exactly what it is that makes Das Ding stand out to ME, let alone to anyone else

i would say the das ding sound, coming so close from the border with belgium is a bit of a hybrid between the dutch and flemish electro sounds of the time. I’m sure you would also love absolute body control, a blaze colour and somnambulist from belgium, and the actor / ende shneafliet from the netherlands. twilight Ritual also had a more dance oriented project called Linear Movement, which you might already be familiar with.

Das Ding will be doing his first live performance in 25 years in two weeks in Rotterdam the Netherlands so if you happen to live nearby dont miss!

Twilight Ritual will also be there alongside Xeno & Oaklander, while reactorlgtn and me will be spinning some tunes!
