Did anybody know about this one?
http://cgi.ebay.fr/MINIMAL-SYNTH-V/A-FRAGILE-ELEMENT_W0QQitemZ250551387322QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20091221?IMSfp=TL091221177001r3433
It even has a track by the Greek band “alive She Died”..
Also my guess from now on is that David Sinfield is the most bootlegged minimal-synth artist LOL I think this is the 3rd bootleg he’s “participating”....

What the heck??
A few hours ago the eBay page was active…
Yup that seems to be the one, dunno if it’s the same guy selling it.
The price was better on eBay though.. 200 euros.. quite a bargain LOL
All I can remember is that the title of the bootleg was “Fragile Element” and included David Sinfield- N.Y. Two
Alive She Died- Youth
Anything else has been erased from my memory…

What the heck??

why “wagt the heck” - i think it is good that ebay acts upon such things, no ?

http://www.discogs.com/Poeme-Electronique-Fragile-original/release/2011594

this will be an official release in 2010 on Attractive. the version of Fragile is an alternative original recordingfrom back then, and even better than the version on the Anna Logue 2LP, as it uses the Boss DR-55 and is more raw. Dave wanted to have the other version on the album, and i agreed.

sure it’s a bootleg Menis?

how can you be unsure ??? as far as i remember it said something like “released in a few copies only”, hahaha, then buy now at EUR 280, .... and coming from France…... there is really no mystery at all behind this….

Also there have never been any vinyl releases for Alive She Died…
Anyway, has anybody heard those D. Sinfield Tracks? Are they any good?

New Italy?

Can u please tell me which minimal bootlegs are coming from Italy? Cause I would call it ‘racism’, man.

Even if you said it to joke, it’s a very bad one. Dont try to discredit the work we are doing, cause as far i remember you were coming to me to ask advices how to run a mailorder.

1/ Hold your horses and read what’s written
2/ Learn your history, during the 70’s Italy was “the” bootleg country because of it’s shady copyright laws. I’ve got tons of releases from the 70’s and early 80’s that were pressed in Italy without the concent of the original artists. Something that now is happening in Russia fyi
3/ I never asked you, you gave it for free.

4/ Don’t want to offend anyone.

hey Ale, I don’t think wool-e meant it that bad. he’s probably refering to that period in the 80’s/90’s when tons and tons of bootlegs came out of Italy… you might remember iffy labels such as “Cocomelos records” and “Teddybear records” grin

I remember these labels Claudia, but i think is not the same, at all. These records were clearly not original, cause in the 90% they were LPS or CDs of LIVE recordings of some bands like Nirvana or whatever, not COPIES of an original vinyl sold for original…

I would call it ‘short memory’. do i have to forward you the email you sent me? the one with ‘On another note, I’m starting up my own mailorder in Belgium and I’d like some advice.’?  Advices that i gived you for free of course, or do i have to give you “bootleg” advices? LOL  LOL  raspberry

I see yr way to say it but i still dont like it. The most common kind of bootleg, as i said, was a live or an audience set. and as far as i know, the biggest country of boots is USA in the period you said, not Italy.

What these ‘minimal bootleg’ guys are doing nowdays is to COPY and PRESS very expensive vinyls, doing mostly an exact copy of what the original record is…and selling it for original…is not the same at all!

Of course , when the copy is not the same, as for League of Nations, the price is very cheap..and this kind of bootleg, for me, could be compared to the 70’s and 80’s live one, cause is clear that is not the original, so you know yourself what ur buying.
