Hello again,

I´ve send the auction link to Geert Coppens, but no reaction until now.
Seems that the 2 have given up to claim their copyright for their album.
If I were them I´d sue Mr. Marin, that´s for sure!

I also wrote a mail through ebays´mailingsystem towards the seller telling him that his actions are monitored and condemned.
Surprisingly I received a reply 8)
informing me that the album is original and my accusations are stupid.

Cheers,
Alex

I’m actually surprised that it’s so difficult to stop bootleggers on ebay - I actually reported a bootleg cd once, where someone had bootlegged a recent CD… To cut a long story short, next time I checked the seller’s feedback it was “no longer a registered user”.

Did you point out differences in matrix numbers etc? Possibly if the seller can say that the record is official and you’re stupid to your face, then he can say it to ebay too… and get away with it…

well, at least we have this forum - thanks a lot to agileo and everyone posting bootleg warnings.

Hello again,

he still has copies in his vaults:

@ Oystein:
ebay doesn´t really care if a record of an totally unknown artist like TR is bootlegged. It was my first action to inform them last year, but the answer was that in such case ebay can´t solve the copyright issue and won´t take any action against JG Marin.

Besides this TR don´t seem to be good business men, since from my point of view they could claim their rights on the original masters, which JG Marin still seems to own and the left-over copies of the “bootleg”-issue, which they could sell at a decent price, but they don´t seem to care too much about it.

Cheers,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Happy New Year again!

From the looks of it, it rather seems like it’s someone who bought two copies off Mr. Marin on Ebay and is reselling them now.

In feedback you will see that “Juliturus” bought two items off “modernwatches” and one might wonder what they could have been. wink

I liked the comments of Juliturus’ last transaction, BTW:

“Suspicious, unfriendly and not to be trusted seller. Don’t buy from him. Kick him out of Ebay!”
Answer:
“Has no manners, doesn’t pay and tries to do stuff outside of Ebay. Block him!”

And then they mutually agreed to withdraw their feedback.
:D :D

Hello Falck,

that´s because he always bid on his own auctions with his
several identities and also left positive feedback for both sides…

He´s really annoying and I also like him kicked out of ebay.

I still have an un-deserved negative fb from this bastard in my rating

Cheers,
Alex

Let’s say we all go pay him a visit, hm? Which one of you young sportsmen own a baseball bat…
ok ok just kidding. Let’s not get carried away. If he really sits there buying his own bootlegs, then by all means let him, eh?

-I hope he rips himself off!

Hmm, buying stuff from yourself on Ebay still costs money, doesn’t it? So in that case, Reactor’s wish came true and he indeed ripped himself off.  :D

So if Juliturus is modernwatches, than his attempts to drive the price via this account must have failed twice….

Let’s stop here, shall we?  8)

Hello Boys,

you didn´t get it right. He bids on his own records to raise the price
and if he wins he´s own records it doesn´t matter at all, ´cos he usually
sends the 2nd high bidder an offer via ebay!
“...hey, you unfortunately got bid out on my TR album, but you lucky
guy - I still have another perfect copy for you!! Are you interested?...”

Cheers,
Alex

modernwatches is trying to sell the twilight ritual album again:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=170320637910

Furthermore I corrected the discogs entry that said there was an official 1988 reissue to the data provided by agileo (hope that’s ok with you) . The user who inserted that info was some empty discogs identity, i dont think we have to doubt who was behind that…  rolleyes

Hi Kris,
yes, I also noticed that the TR bootleg re-appeared on ebay!
Now he claims that this is from an official re-press of 200 copies
in 1988! It´s really time for Bonne/Coppens to sue this guy!

He offers his bootleg at 49 pounds “buy it now”.
Assuming that he already sold some 30 to 40 copies at hilarious
high-bid-prices via ebay or gemm he still sits on 160 copies at least.
Makes 7.840 brit pounds he wishes to earn without paying taxes, paying the artist and so forth…

Cheers,
Alex

Hello, my name is Phillipe. I saw you
forum from a link on NWO. You has
the interesting discussion aboute
recordes. You must be verey smart
collecting pepoles here! Why then do you
miss such opportunity? The recorde in
question here, you admit to be of the
superior quality, that the re-issue is
not flimsy as the original was, that the
newer one has beam, while the older
lacks beam and is in fact beamless and
the newe one has even more matrix
numbers. The lettering is much more
styled in the minimalist artistic
sensability. You miss the opportunitey
to explore a newe genre for collecting,
I would call it Psu-Minimal or Re-Minimal.
You can get these recordes now while the
prices are still low and help preserve this
form of music too! Otherwise, 20 years
from nowe you will be sorrey, and be
playing catch uptrying to dig uppe old,
harde to find copies.

The bootleg has even MORE matrix numbers, you say? Well, as a minimal wave matrix number enthusiast, I’ll buy TEN copies! I’ll be beaming with joy!

Glad I could help, but you muste be
careful with those numbers, if you
go a bit to far, they mighte be to
many, so the recorde will be in danger
of not being minimal enough, then whats
happen is when you tryer to rip the
music to computer you can get
“IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL” error, which
many tines can onley be cured with
a reformat of youre Fixed Disk Drive.

I was so frustrated over the lack of matrix numbers on the original vinyl, I decided to buy the cd from the artists and forget all about vinyls…

Oh well, at least I let the artists know I like their stuff - and also, I got the bonus tracks and video.
