Anton Corbijn was there…if anyone would be suitable to make this movie it would be him. Very much looking forward to it!

In an interview he defended his decision to film in black and white as it is the way they are remembered: all fanzines were in black & white and also the artwork was in black & white. There is no color in Joy Division. I agree 100%.

But it’s not really a documentary. It’s an actual movie about Ian Curtis.

100% agree.
And the choice of B/W is also excellent in my opinion.
But there has been color in Joy Division for your info

Yes it is not a real “ducmentary” but it is for the research, at least for my own university work.

haha I am the one who voted “yes” wink ... why am I always so sceptic ...
and it’s not that I think it will be totally crap ... Anton Corbijn or not - you would be exited even if Steven Spielberg directed it ;p (maybe even more)..

and what is terrifying - there goes film about seniore Iggy ... and who will be Iggy?

Elijah Wood

no I am not kidding

@ Echo_Frau

Aw thats nice smile. If you need any informations from the source I can help (Im polish). One interesting book is coming to my mind now about polish punk scene - “Jarocin w obiektywie bezpieki” - you know this one? It contains gathered materials (photographs, descriptions) from the Jarocin festival made by comunistic secret police agents. Its a publication of Polish Institute of National Memory - they do researches about agentural structures and stuff ... if you are interested Ive got this book scanned. Cheers.

CONTROL film.

I think it would be great to watch even if the movie may not be too accurate. What loss is there when you get to listen to great music while watching a movie?

That’s a good point.
But if the movie is terrible most likely you won’t even enjoy the sountrack.
Let’s see how it turns out.

@ hanoi :
(moj email : .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address))
Pozdrawiam :D
