It doesn’t appear to be good for anything but ruining records…..no motor?

It’s very interesting to me the ingenuity of some people.
But yes, this will most likely ruin your records and of course it’s not practical at all.
Who wants to carry a huge drum like thing around their shoulders?

It’s quite strange to me that it plays sound at all.  I would think the amount of downward force you need to keep the needle from at least skipping out of the groove would be so much that the cartridge would be dragging all over the record surface. Maybe they have some solution for it that I missed in my quick glance.

Look at the arm and where it rests on. It looks extremelly sturdy. It’s not a regular turntable arm. It looks like it stays in place where ever you place it. I don’t think this really plays a record while it spins. It’s only for scratching as they demonstrate.

I think it could work since there is a fixated axial arm, and it looks like the back of the arm lacks a counterweight (or even is pushed upwards ) as to maximize pressure on the vinyl. Not sure how much pressure a needle can take though.

The most important question: does it have built in speakers?? (It obviously produces sound so i guess it has)
Would be cool to bike around the city with this beast while playing your favorite records out loud.  8)

But skip the scratching. It will destroy your records.

I want one for Christmas!

a few copies?

Do you need several copies, or are we going to trade with it?  raspberry

Best to have one in each room, for immediate perusal, right.
