[quote author=“Nogah”][quote author=“fastfashion”]As a side note, for anyone simply interested in the music itself, I’m sure the band would be more than happy to share it with you if you contacted them privately. Just a hunch :idea:I bet nobody is interested in the music itself. It is still understandable though collectors are interested. They are not interested in rarety without quality or quality without rarety. I am interested if a band member can inform us here how many people contacted them merely interested in their music. My bet would be between 0 and 2

Hi Nogah - I’ve counted them up - its 7 - you lose ! raspberry

Regards

Nogah,

I really wonder why you are so hostile towards the concept of collecting?

I mean sure, if you look up “collector” on Wiki and find a picture of Young Stephen, I’m not quite sure that everybody wants to be one.

But for many of the folks round here it’s just a fantastic hobby, you can’t walk past a single crate, you feel the adrenaline rush, you buy stuff you don’t know and wonder what it will be like waiting for that bloody needle to hit the record…it completely sucks…it’s a hidden gem…..hey, there’s a record fair coming up soon….

If all this means nothing to you, fine, no prob, but why not let other people enjoy their hobby?

Well let’s say most children prefer hamburgers over sushi. That’s all ok but no need to insult the artists and make yourself look ridiculous while you’re at it. You’re pissing in all directions ATM, also against the wind. Hope you enjoy yourself, but you leave spectators like me a bit disgusted.

Yet we cannot bring ourselves to leave this thread.

Well that is quite a good score. Beyond my expectations.
So these 7 persons did not buy the Obscure release but asked for the music.
What was your reply to that ? Did you provide them the music ?

Spartak,
Do you have a problem with me or others posting here ?
Do you have a problem with people enjoying their hobby ?

Ahh, we’re getting closer.

So Nogah’s hobby is to join forums, hold positions that are being perceived as absurd by the respective members and to enjoy the reactions he/she provokes.

So this week it’s Minimal Wave, next week a site for foot fetishists? Tell them guys they were only given to them in order to enable them to walk from A to B? 8)

You a psychology student by any chance?

@ Falck, Spartak,

Why are you so bitter?
You both sound like a person who’s playing ground is invaded by a new kid on the block you don’t like, but you cannot deny the kid’s rights to be there.
What’s wrong with normal discussion?

Well, Nogah, where do I start?

First of all, unfortunately you don’t discuss properly as you attack the concept of collecting but ignore posts that invite you to elaborate on your point.

You make it sound as if you owned nothing but mp3s, and then you offer The Lost Tapes in the Sales section not because you’ve gained a new insight as to the waste of resources, but because you need some money.

When I said it looks like you’ve come to wrong forum what I meant is that it is pretty pointless to try to convince people round here they don’t want to collect vinyl and that they don’t want the fun, the excitement, the adrenaline rush they experience. Personally I don’t dig foot fetishism but I wouldn’t try to talk somebody out of it.  8)

And from the looks of it you succumbed to the vice of vinyl in the past yourself.

So, as I already insinuated, to me your incoherent behaviour pattern more looks like someone testing the water as part of an experiment than someone with a real view.

Now if you’re the new kind on the block then you just walked over the basketball players telling them what they really want to do is play golf while putting up basketballs for sale.

Some people might find that a bit strange.

Keep on making assumptions Falck. You are assuming things you cannot check. I wonder why you just don’t ask me.
Never mind. Just FYI: The record I put up for sale was a gift. I would never have bought it myself.

No more assumptions, Nogah.

I just realized you’re a complete waste of a rather scarce resource: my time.  8)

Yeah, we´re used to nothing but the very best around here. We want Stephen Obscure, he´s the gift that keeps on giving!
