Don’t care for the drama surrounding this release/label/guy.

Yes, I can see that you do not care enough to read six pages, and then
start a seventh page which exclaims how much you don’t care.

Aspect Ratio is straight up garbage.

I couldn’t of asked for a more caring statement.  I just checked the ASPECT RATIO myspace page and there were tons of Aspect Ratio plays today.  I wonder why.

Thanks fast fashion for selling the next couple of copies for me.

The next few copies that sell are all you. You know that don’t you.

I love the fact that the people that are into minimal synth love the Aspect Ratio tape, and the people that are not into minimal synth don’t love it, and are perplexed by it.
It’s silly garbage and that’s not up for debate.

Wow, a double promotion within one post alone!!!  Thank you so much fast fashion.
Now the Aspect Ratio-  “Dimensions Unseen” cassette is going to start selling for big money.

Fast Fashion, You are the man.

THE SALESMAN wink!!!

Hat’s off to the invisible man for managing to sell it though.

And hat’s off to you depeche mode for being one of obscure identities most fervent promoters.

When DEPECHE MODE promotes you that is when you know you have made it big!!!

I see you didn’t quote the bit about bouncing my balls around randomly on the keyboard. There’s no hiding it now, I’ve exposed your methodology. Soon, there will be many miniballs tapes flooding eBay. Fear not, for everyone shall remember who did it first.

And that implies that you have miniballs?  My condolences.

Anyway, for having such miniballs you sure do know how to promote all the
obscure identities releases.

“DEPECHE MODE are not just a band. They are my advertising agency.”

That will be my line in an upcoming obscure identities commerical.

I admit, it’s a good line. Doesn’t hold a candle to “EXCELLENT U.S. MINIMAL SYNTH FROM LOS ANGELES”, though. That was a real doozy.

And with DEPECHE MODES help the number of watchers on the Aspect Ratio cassette grows and grows.

And don’t forget the All the Madmen LP this week either, because bidding is going to go crazy on sunday with all the people that want to support the band financially.  I am expecting $500 to $1000 bids from you guys.  Please don’t let the band down.

I’m still waiting on Marc, and Olafs bids.  Will they Snipe it?  and who will win, and for how much.
We will see on Sunday.

The tension rises.

And will the righteous rise to the occasion.

“...I am expecting $500 to $1000 bids from you guys. Please don’t let the band down.”

....what band and bullsh*t…don’t they have a bank account,
so that people can send them money if they want to?
And i really don’t understand that “support the band” statement…
support them in what exactly…are they starving or something,
do they owe to the bank and such?...
Or can’t they afford waiting 18 months,in order to sell the rest of…75 copies?

To put it the other way round…
if you’re in a need of getting 500-1000$ that much quickly in your wallet,
so that you can then spend them afterwards bidding in rare kbd 7’‘s,just say so…  8)

Will they Snipe it? and who will win, and for how much.

I have a sense you’re way too anxious about this Sunday…
like you’re the one who’s gonna bid to win,not them…

The tension rises.

Your tension has risen up my guess…playing around with miniballs in the kitchen though,
might help a bit in relaxing…
Recording them on tape would probably be a funny idea too,
although i doubt it will return you the $ you’re after…

^lmao

Well, invisible man, I hope the bids go through the roof for ATM, because those guys deserve it. This should always have been about them, as opposed to “the collectors” (as you put it), and your Aspect Ratio tape riding the coattails of the release. Which has no bids on it, I noticed. I imagine all the viewers being similar to myself, a bunch of us gathered in a theater, ready to watch the comedy unfold. Will someone(s) bid? Who knows, but it’s going to be goddamn hilarious when they do.

Indeed, nice comedy going on here. As Shakespeare would say “Much ado about nothing”.

I’m tempted to make a recording of my balls bouncing around on a keyboard while I utter the first lyrics that come to my mind, in my best ‘cold, emotion-free’ voice. There’s money to be made and I want in.

Mr Fastfashion - you really must do this !!! LOL  LOL  LOL

I don’t see why people would be randomly sending the band members
money for no reason.  Perhaps you can explain.

If they would like to get the All the Madmen LP to enjoy, and support the
band All the Madmen in the process with their purchase that would be a reason.

And i really don’t understand that “support the band” statement…
support them in what exactly…are they starving or something,
do they owe to the bank and such?...
Or can’t they afford waiting 18 months,in order to sell the rest of…75 copies?

And I really don’t understand how you don’t understand a statement as simple
as “support the band”.  The band All the Madmen recorded many amazing
tracks that I have been listening to for the last 5 years.  I thought other collectors
would be interested to hear their music as well so I released an LP.  Then I have offered the collectors to win a copy of the LP where all the money would go to the band members for making these amazing recordings 30 years ago.  Hence, the band members will get a monetary reward for their creativeness which will show how much the fans of the band appreciate the bands music.

To put it the other way round…
if you’re in a need of getting 500-1000$ that much quickly in your wallet,
so that you can then spend them afterwards bidding in rare kbd 7’‘s,just say so…

First you say I am going to take whatever money the record sells for and use it to buy kbd 7"s,
and then in the very next sentence you say I am going to win the All the Madmen LP myself ?

It seems that you are seriously confused, and don’t understand a lot of things.

Here is brief description of schizophrenia for you.

People with schizophrenia vary widely in their behavior as they struggle with an illness beyond their control. In active stages, those affected may ramble in illogical sentences or react with uncontrolled anger or violence to a perceived threat.

I hope so too.

This should always have been about them, as opposed to “the collectors” (as you put it), and your Aspect Ratio tape riding the coattails of the release. Which has no bids on it, I noticed.

And I noticed that the Aspect Ratio tape went for more than the All the Madmen LP recently.
I also noticed that a lot people that were in early 80’s minimal synth bands really like the Aspect Ratio cassette and so do a lot of European and American minimal synth collectors.

And I also noticed that every time someone hates on the Aspect Ratio cassette on this thread more people like it than ever before.

I imagine all the viewers being similar to myself, a bunch of us gathered in a theater, ready to watch the comedy unfold. Will someone(s) bid? Who knows, but it’s going to be goddamn hilarious when they do.

And according to depeche mode the Aspect Ratio cassette is as good as sold this week.

Seriously, how many new users has this thread created, and who hasn’t posted on it?

In regards to the All the Madmen LP.

This is how much the people on this forum who say that they care about the band All the Madmen actually care.

$ 0.00

There were no bids from any of the righteous people on here who say that it is all about the band, and say that they care about the band.

All of the 5 bids were by minimal synth collectors that have already bid on the record in the past,
and one of them is a european collector who already has the record.

The winner was Dimitri from greece.

So Mike and Neale can thank Dimitri.  He is profitis on this forum.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Here is how much I care about the band All the Madmen.

$2,228.27 out of my own pocket, and countless hours of my own time spent making this release happen for most likely no money.

It was and is more important for me that the All the Madmen records be released in a diy collectable fashion that is representative of the band and the time period in which the music was recorded than any monetary reward that would come from doing so.  And that is what I have done, and will continue to do.

And there are 4 more records to come so you can do the math, and if you can’t
then here you go.

how much haters on minimal synth forum care about the band:  $0.00

how much stephen of obscure identities cares about the band:  $11,000 + a full time job worth of time.
