I think the majority in here (I could be wrong) are Europeans including yourself and they have no problem communicating in english.
They can easily write in whatever language they happen to speak but they respect the language of this forum which happens to be english.
I don’t think there needs to be a “rules” or a big sign in the home page saying “english only speaking forum” to gather that that is what is spoken here.

Alan, I have a hard time believing you havent picked up the english basics at school. Perhaps the french or polish education is not that good or whatever but you should put a little more enfort in your posts then.
It’s funny you are the one to speak of disrespect! I don’t think you would feel treaten very respectfully when people in a group start to talk in a language you don’t understand because it’s easier for them and they think it’s not important for you to know what they talk about anyways.

Personally my english is not the best but trying to talk, write and understand it is a good way to learn it i think. There is nothing better than talking some few languages, so please help me to concretize my third language!!!!

Anyways I would be the last person to stereotype the east…I partly have my roots there as well. I do see that a lot of people older than 33 hardly speak any english, but below 18 it is fluent like in the west, could differ from country to country
ok enough with the language shit, germany - italy was the best match of the event until now, although I havent seen brasil - france but this match was the perfect thriller with absolutely beautiful soccer from italy!
