Howdy!

Are there any helpful synthetic encyclopedias or possibly a minimal version of “Rainman” with a better memory than mine out there?

On the following link you will find a zip with 25 “mystery” synth tracks for all those knowledgable minimal electronic enthusiasts!

http://www.zshare.net/download/1038120626082b2d/

Simply download the zip, open it and listen to some nice sounds which unfortunately so far could not be succesfully identified!

I have given some presumed titles, based on the lyrics, but these might be misleading.

Any help provided will assure you a positive verdict from the divine entity of your choice! Furthermore, I will also utter my appreciation here in advance for any help!

Respectfully/e-lectron

One down… Track 4 is L.I.V. (Long Internal Vibration) - In a Jar - Who you are (if I remember correctly). Need the LP?

Track #2 is Incoumn - Romeo & Juliet

#7 is a Version of Margaret Freeman - In ‘n out (from the Compilation “Music from Belgium”): the music is the same, but the vocals are totally different

THANKS!

Thanks a lot folks! Really appreciated! Keep those solutions coming!

However, I think #2 is still not solved. You probably mean “Inconnu” which I believe is the French word for “unknown”.

#7 is definitely Margaret Freeman, you are right (albeit another track from one of their demo tapes, and not the one from the “Somewhere in the skeleton” compilation). I guess they fell in love with that rhythm track…

#8 came to me from the same source as #7, so these bands are probably connected somehow. Must be French or Belgian as well. Both tracks were anonymously uploaded to me on soulseek. Unfortunately the guy vanished without providing more information.

So, 2 down, 23 to go. With this speed the list will be gone in no time!

PS: Someone claimed the EP (#22-25) is a promo release from the new band Klockwork, but I have no confirmation.

I’ve done some further research for #2: I thought I’ve ripped it by myself from a 7” two years ago ... but actually I copied it from a CDR from a friend ... so I’m not really sure about it :(

#8 strongly sounds to me like the french Band “Nox”

I feel like track 4 might be SSQ.

For the “dark industrial” tracks (tracks 18, 19, & 20), the titles refer to two German (?) VA compliations:  “MFZM - Offenbach 1981” and “RF 001”.  I have been doing some searches on these comilations with no luck. Has any one heard of these?
Thanks
johnny

2 more tracks have been solved

The 2 tracks from the MFZM cassette compilation have been identified as Bollwerk - “Warten auf die Tagesschau” and Blut & Boden - “Wehrkraft”.

The vocals on #14 sound very much like the Phinn’s vocals from the recent Finnish group Kompleksi.
