[quote author=“Ton”]This thread is not about intellect,

true, and there is actually and absolutely no need for this. when people start to deeply discuss for example lyrics or album background stories, i guess a separate thread should be opened. so my suggestion is simply to make this thread more informative and entertaining, otherwise it is just an assembly of useless words.

[quote author=“Ton”]this thread is about showing that you listen to more obscure stuff then anybody else. It’s an ego trip.

not at all, and sad to read that you only see negativity and that you imply that all posting people are the same. i can actually see a lot of positive potential in this thread when people start putting a few words behind it. why are they listening to this, what does the music mean to them, or simply share any lovely memories that you have with a certain track or album. i would be happy to get known to new groups and albums if the words arise my interest - but the group name and title alone is just meaningless.

for example, for me it has more to it when, let’s say, i am currently listening to an album by MÚM. what made me disocver them, why am i listening to and liking them ? for example, i could write that after listening to groups like The Album Leaf or Sigur Ros, i was looking for similar groups and thus found MÚM. indeed they were similar, with an equal melancholy .... or such ... no need to write a review….. just a bit of an information .... but do as you like.

@Spartak:
Of course you don’t have to emphasize you know all music Spart. We’re convinced of that.

@falck:
Don’t make yourself so important talking about your “post was that unclear”
Didn’t you see everybody ignored you ?

Thanks for pointing this out, Ton. And cool you managed to do so even twice.

This forum is not a public toilet for your frustration with life or who knows what is bothering you . Do you have anything positive or substantial to contribute to this forum?

Listening to atmosphere 0 - atmo 1 LP

Absolutely ghastly graphic artwork but the music is great although somewhat similar sounding.
Not very wellknown so it seems, definately deserves to be in more playlists!

To be honest yes I really think I made much more positive contributions to this forum and site then you.

Ton,

How many times have you been banned again?
On what terms have you been allowed to return to this forum?
Have you read the forum rules? You are using them as toilet paper that’s for sure.

I’m tired of your continued personal attacks against me. In personal discussions that have nothing to do with you you stick your meddlesome nose.

Furthermore, you have no clue about 95% of the bands being discussed around here (Claudia’s example being one of many) yet you have a negative opinion on everything and everyone. And while you’re at it you speak for everyone else (who are this “we” and “everybody”? can you give “us” some names?)

Speak for yourself and stay away from me please.

I am going to answer your questions:

I have been banned once on purely subjective ground. (it doesn’t prove anything) The other times I banned myself.
There were no terms on which I could return.
I am not aware of any rules I had to commit too.

I don’t think you know me well enough to judge my knowledge on music. I can’t judge yours either.

Who told you all this nonsense ?

Everybody = everybody (I cannot define that better)
I can’t recall I spoke in the “we” form.

Try reading your own posts then.

Even though it’s hard to miss, for your comfort:

Dear MW forum members,

Lately, there’s been a slew of negativity in this forum and it’s not acceptable. The forum was created to initiate a dialogue about interesting music, to support one another and to share ideas. In order for our community to be welcoming to newcomers, it’s imperative that we keep things positive. Record collecting is fun, so let’s keep it that way! If you have an issue re: an ebay sale / trade, work it out via email. Please refrain from posting offensive banter here, as it’s a waste of everyone’s time to read this stuff. Slander, and personal attacks will not be tolerated. Transforming a topic into a thread of personal insults is no longer acceptable.

Moderators are now granted full rights to remove and ban members who refuse to follow these simple rules.

Thanks,

MW

Haha, that’s a good one.
I think I don’t have to remind you to how you responded to me in a simular situation. Do I ?
No Olaf, everything is wrong with ego-tripping but as long as you stay straight it is an honest fight.
You aren’t straight. Not even that.
