Did anyone else see the review of the WIERD Comp. LP in the latest issue of VICE magazine?  (I just picked up an issue in Chicago)  The review was very positive (of course :D ), but they compared the content to Joy Division? -  (I am new to posting on this board, but I have been lurking here for quite some time.)
cheers,

johnny

I haven’t read it yet… but a comparison to Joy Division leads me to believe that they haven’t listened to it much!

Nice that it was positive though you never know with Vice.

Any highlights?

I should really stop using these two profiles now that I have reached my goal and Puerile Garbage got created.

They’ve been used to their limits, I guess I should trash them now….  LOL

Or should I?

In a case of paranoid schizophrenia, is it possible for one personality to be jealous of the intellectual inferiority of another?

when you think you are superior like you , Master ColdwaveBite , sure it is .

I suffer from the same Connerie as you , I demultipicate myself . I hope for you that you are actually under 30 , if not , still immature at 30 that’s still problematic for you mother and for the True Coldwave Nerd you are ...  8)

and you, werent you the one who came in to this forum ,-a minimal/wave/syth/oldschool/or whatever you may call it-forum, to advertise yours which happens to be related to the same subject and when you realized that there werent enough people interested to it you started making ironic and insulting comments to other users?
If the creators and users of this “rotten” forum are so jealous of you why do you keep posting here?

I mean jeez! This topic was about an article concerning the Wierd compilation
and it turned (AGAIN) to the situation of Alan not liking somebody etc, before anyone actually discessed about the subject!  KNOCK IT OFF!!

Snowy,
I have copied the VICE review of the Wierd Compilation LP verbatim.  (Vice Zine, Volume 14, Number 4):

“This is a compliation of dark-wave, cold wave, minimal synth wave, and oh who can keep track of all the sub-subgeneres.  It’s basically just really dark kill-yourself Joy division type music.  The 15 bands on here all performed at the legendary Wierd [sic] parties that went down (very down) in seedy bars in Brooklyn from 2003 to 2006.  This comp is really beautiful and elaborate, with three records, a seven inch, and a big booklet of photos of all the debaucherous shananigans that are said to have occurred at these parties.  Like a Joy Division wet-t-shirt contest and a deaf-mute Hasidic guy doling out blowjobs.  Who said goths dont know how to party! - Winkle Picker”

Vice magazine reviews tend to have strange comparisons smile
