Deux is (at last) releasing an LP on their own label. Studio and rehearsal recordings from 1982 to 1992. Should be out this month (Oct 2006).

Could someone offer a co-release on vinyl to them ?

Good news but yes, CD? :x
Oh well.

I don’t mind CD’s really. I think it’s easier to digitize and it reacts better to compression than the analog vinyl sound. Since most of the music I listen to is either on my computer or mp3player I go for CD if I can choose.

Many people say the analog sound is warmer but to be honest I can’t hear that. Vinyl has it’s charms but sometimes we overlook the disadvantages (static, surface marks, not much room for bonus material, crappy response to mp3 compression).

Just my five cents worth.

I’m not going to get into a debate about mp3 vs vinyl. 
Done that many times already including here in this forum!
What I always say….to each it’s own.
I do agree on the versatility of the medium. I don’t have a turntable in my car :D

Me neither :D That’s why I bought vinyl ànd cd-version of the BIPPP-release. :wink:  Too lazy and too honest to copy the vinyl on cdr for my car.

Or you have too much money and too little imagination - buying the same music twice gets you half as much music!  8O

-besides, if I buy a vinyl and copy it on cdr for my car, then I’m not dishonest; it’s perfectly legal.

Actually, since I haven’t yet bought the BIPPP, I can take your surplus copy - CD or LP; your choice!  :wink:

Sorry, I’ll keep them both :wink:  Nothing to do with imagination or too much money.  Hey, we are not talking about crazy ebay-prices, right ? :o
And besides, cdr’s are the last music carriers that I’m interested in.  All these flexi-pop and others marketingproducts to try to ripp off real music lovers : the horror ! 8O

myes, I’ll agree with you on the bootleg compilations at least - I know people who talk about owning the “original ltd numbered” Flexipop CD-rs… WTF is that about? They’re bootlegs, there’s no “original” of a bootleg.

But of course, elsewhere on the forum I’ve said the same for those lousy bootleg LP reissues of old cassettes too.

I guess it depends on how I feel about the music - the CD is a convenient sound carrier, which I can listen to while doing the dishes without having stop midways to change sides, and the vinyl is the original, the ITEM, the fetish…
