A little bit late, but here my opinion about last Saturday:
-Martial Canterel : WOW ! Are you sure we’re speaking about the same Martial Canterel of the “Confusing Outsides”-lp on Genetic ? Their performance was amazing, very good, groovy and reminded me more than once of the very early period of Front 242 (at least 2 times I was quite sure to here the intro of “Kampfbereit” :D ). Very good songs, dark and minimal and, in my opinion, far much better than the lp on Genetic that was more synth pop.
Could anyone tell me where to buy/get a cdr with this material ?
-Oppenheime Analysis : mmmm, not my cup of tea. Apart from 3 or 4 good (!) songs, it reminded me a little bit too much of good old Pet Shop Boys. Nevertheless, I bought their 2 cdr’s and, there again, 2 or 3 good songs.
-Twilight Ritual : good selection of songs, but compared to their try out concert last year in Gent (Belgium), too much “software” on stage, if you ask me. Okay, thanks to this, we were able to enjoy “Closed Circuit” and “I Never Called You A Dream”, but I’ve missed a little bit the DIY-spirit that Martial Canterel showed us earlier that night.
But, at the end, very pleased with this mini-festival
