Each of you has at some time contacted us about The Metronomes’ recordings.
Over the last few months a number of things have happened.
First, we were persuaded to play our first ever live gig at the launch of an arts event in Melbourne, Australia, where The Metronomes were formed. Just 30 years after our first record! Photos of this were taken (still trying for the video!).
Second, we have reached agreements with a couple of European record labels to release some of our early recorded material, including the 3 songs from the record we never released, The Metronomes Play Their Favourites. Some of these releases will be on vinyl, some on CD.
Third, because of these developments we decided to set up a Metronomes Facebook page. We are steadily putting up interesting (we hope!) facts and memorabilia about the group, including the synths and other devices we used, other info about the recordings, some old media articles…basically anything we could dig up in the vaults.
