What you tried to do is to “hotlink” i.e. to put a direct link to the server where the pic is located.
In this case, it happens to be the same server, but normally it’s external servers people are linking to increasing those servers’ traffic rates (and the bills of the owners at times).
This is why hotlinking is unpopular and Snowy’s Content Management System seems to prevent it.
Technically, if you want the MW pics to show, you would have to download them, stick them on a server you control and then link to them with the “IMG” function.
P.S. now what’s wrong with running around naked with a bucket on your head?
