As far as I remember that is the only instrument named in the credits of the LP.  I’ve got the vinyl at home, I will check and see what it says.

As far as I remember, Fairlight CMI was used on every track except “Me And My Rhythm Box.”

Oh yes! It is truly one of my favorite parts of the movie. Such a classic! The lyrics are great, too. Hehe

liquid sky

I recently read a small aricle regarding the Liquid Sky LP in the funk/Jazz/hip hop magazine WAX POETICS…pretty strange.  I dont remember any specifics other than I saw the term “minimal synth” thrown around.  I wish I copied what it what said.

According to the note on the back sleeve:

“The musical score, with the exception of the song “Me And My Rhythm Box”, was realized on the Fairlight Computer Musical Instrument at the Public Access Synthesizer Studio (PASS) in New York and was engineered and mixed by Stephen Horelick at Patchworkds NYC directly from the Fairlight Computer Musical Instrument.”

It is also my guess that the Fairlight Computer Video Instrument was used to make all of the color effects in the film:
