Minimal Wave Records

Dear MW’ers,
I’m proud to promote a new release from the mighty Hertz-Schrittmacher label which needs no introduction here (I hope). After an excellent international Doppelhertz Do-LP sampler this is a compilation consisting exclusively of russian bands (featuring N.E.M.O., ROBOTI, PRIVATE ENTERTAINMENT, KLAX and ELECTRODYNAMIQUE).

333 copies, 180 gr. vinyl, handsprayed cover, printed inner sleeve.

Well, actually we’ve been there for a while already. The tracks here are from 2000 to 2007…

ps. And there are some good soviet synth/wave tapes and records from the 80’s.

yes, indeed, many interesting things from demo tapes copied from tapes to tapes copied to other tapes hehe

please write down some examples of russian synth wave released in vinyls in 80s. thanx.

The first thing that comes to mind is FORUM - Belaya Noch (White Night). It’s very cheesy but so goddamn beautiful. ALISA - Energiya (Energy) has been positioned as “fantastic minimal synth” by one seller here once. I must admit the album is mostly crappy pathetic rock/wave but has a nice track “Experimentator”.

The rest are tapes I believe.

Biokonstruktor is a name that springs to mind… haven’t heard it though, just seen it in a catalogue.
