Does anyone have any experience with this suite ?
Korg reduced it’s price to 195 € (coming from 650)  so it looks very affordable and eventhough it’s a software synth it comes with a MS-20 replica 84% the original’s size that acts as a USB controler. Also includes software version of the PolySix and Wavestation.

Looks like a garantee for hours of fun ...

Any users out there ?

Pros ?
Cons ?

For the price reduction is a great value.
I also got it for a good price.
It’s got a good sound in my opinion. Unlike other VST’s I have heard.
This one has what they call CMT (Component /modeling Technology) which makes it sound very good. Again to my ears that is. I have never played on a real ms-20 before.
I basically got it for the mini ms-20. It connects via usb and since it’s a controller you can use it for the other 2 synth that the bundle comes with. The polysix and the wavestation.
It’s a little small but another cool thing about it is you can patch it like you would the original and you can save them too!
For me it’s cool to have a physical machine in front of me. I’m not one to have digital interfaces so it’s perfect because I can manually tweak it.
It allows you to use the knows of the mini ms-20 for the other 2 synth as well.
You will have fun with it! that’s for sure.
Sorry I can’t give you more details, I’m not that technologically savvy wink
But I know that I really enjoy playing with it!

I played with a, ummmm, let’s call it a “fully functioning demo version” last year.  I didn’t have the controller with it so I was stuck using an M-Audio Oxygen 8.

It sounded really good compared to alot of VST synths and wasn’t as big a RAM eater as some of the Moog and Arp VSTs out there.  Still, you need a pretty powerful machine to get it to sound good and run smooth.

A few months back either Keyboard or Electronic Musician had a few engineers run blind side-by-side comparrissons of the MS20 softsynth against a real MS20.  The engineers couldn’t really tell which was which, and in a few instances thought the softsynth was better sounding than the real thing.

On a side note, the first synth I ever bought was a Roland SH09 that I got at a pawn shop for $50.  They also had an MS20 for the same price, but since I knew nothing about synthsizers at the time and I couldn’t get it to make anything other than white noise I passed on it for the Roland.

well i have one too and it’s durable, rugged and very versatile - all those knobs can be mapped to different things for different programs.  I use it with ableton live mostly.  good stuff

the sounds that come with it are very good and probably worth the money alone.

plus you get all those free yellow cords smile

go for it!

Patch cords can be found anywhere. But an original MS-20 for a decent price….that’s a different story!
