Maybe a bit at short notice, but I had great fun two years ago in Bremen.

Let’s see if the ladies will bring their ironing boards again… 8)

Sorry for…laughing? Never mind my propaganda.  8)

But yes, they looked much better in leather. I wonder if it will be vacuum-cleaners this time round, and then some latex….

2 1/2 hours - how about that for wow?

Here’s the evidence:

But indeed no ironing boards this time round

If you want to see more, same spot as always:

I wouldn’t like to compare the Welle:Erdball Karaoke show with the intence feeling of the live performance of For Against…

Even if the sound of Welle:Erdball is made with old synths and C64 sometimes, it isn’t comparable because they don’t play it live, only the vocals are live - the backings are from MD or DAT or whatever they use today - Alf is only playing some sounds and effects ...

But the shows are getting better every year, this is a fact I can’t ignore wink

Now this is rather strange, as you’re the only one trying to make a comparison here 8)

Namely the comparison between a highly valuable Neon-Welt act and some lowly creatures who are rather crap but who still won’t stop trying.

Hundreds of people had a whale of a time at the Welle:Erdball concert, but hey, agreed, those guys are surely not remotely good enough to perform at Neon-Welt

I did something like the tourmanager for Welle:Erdball in the early 90s, and they were really good at that time, trying to find their own style and started to create their very own image. But in the meantime they are getting more and more boring for me and the last time I did something with them was about 6 years ago when I organized their at Irrlicht, Spenge and I only talked 1 or 2 times to them since then

You asked the 2 1/2 hours of Welle:Erdball for wow and because I used that term, I just want to tell, that if this was used for For Against, it can’t be taken to desrcibe a gig of W:E ...

nothing to give too much attention and don’t take it too serious

Now if it doesn’t deserve attention, why bother to make a post?

But nice to see that from starting off as “something as their tour manager” you now have moved way up in the world. Right decision to drop those boring guys like a hot potato. After all, world-wide fame beckoned for you. 8)

Lest I forget, I of course apologise for infringing on your copyright on the word “wow”. I will have my lawyer do a check first next time round. Oh how very reckless of me. Sorry.

Everybody’s welcome to respond to my threads, that’s what threads are there for IIRC.

But the sole intent of your post was to say the band I posted about is crap while the good bands play at Neon-Welt.

In the meantime it might have dawned on you that the way you slagged off Welle:Erdball might also sound bad to other bands….oops, say what happenened to your posts….

I can’t find this meaning in my post - if you read more carefully, you would find, that it is easy to see, that I only wanted to say, that if the term “wow” was used for that great For Against show it can’t be used for a karaoke based show of whoever…

But reading your reactions on my posts it looks like you can’t understand my postings cause you try to find something to provocate and to react against me…
Sorry for you !

Where do you find this ???
What has my personal opprtunity about the show of W:E to do with any other band ?

Mr. Falck, please come back to earth and don’t try to find anything against me. It makes no sense, I really know, that you are much better then me and I really believe, that your collection of records and whatever is better, bigger and much more expensive than mine.

You was so kind to quote them, so they were no longer needed wink

I think we’ll leave it to that now, as you have clearly demonstrated the limits of your rethorical abilities. After all, we don’t want to bore people.

Footie and beer now

I thought a while about making a post here but I felt I wanted to.

Plastikmann and me exchanged quite a number of mails after this.

I think it’s pretty obvious this wasn’t primarily about the performance of two bands

Now I can live perfectly with anybody saying Welle:Erdball can’t be taken seriously, because the band themselves are not taking themselves altogether too seriously. If you need the smell of doom, death and destruction, then you might want to make another pick. I just think they put on a bloody good show.

What I find difficult to hack though is if somebody tries to compare two concerts and they’ve only been to one.

To conclude, I hope this didn’t serve as a deterrent to anybody who’s already organising events or is on planning on doing so.

For most - if not all - in this small world it is a labour of love, it is stressful, time-consuming and not exactly without financial risk. And if nobody did it, there’d only be Depeche Mode to watch once a year.

Let’s just keep a sense of perspective here 8)
