Minimal Wave Records

I’m looking for a Fostex 8-track taperecorder (or similar type like Tascam for instance) that I can lend for one day. I need this for some songs that are on a 8-tracktape and that need to be remastered. Thanks in advance.

look on ebay, this should go pretty cheap i think.
I had the 4 channel one, not bad, but nothing great also.

you want to mix down 8 tracks perfectly with a machine unknown to you in only one day ? that’s more than a challenge ...more of a miracle then… i am not an expert at this, but i guess you better specify the model of the Fostex due to technical obstacles.

also Sandra, i guess they need a 8-track reel-to-reel tape recorder, not a 4-track audio cassette recorder ....

yes but you have to change the head…be careful..the guy is marking that is for spare or to repair ! so it’s pretty useless to take it if you dunno later how to repair it

Thanks for your advice. Yes, I want to hire a fostex to transfer the separate tracks to a computer. This will be done in a professional studio where the tracks will be remastered.
