Dear MW users,

Just wanted to let you know about our new release.

This time it is a digi CD from the cult Leitmotiv.

It is a CD that contains all their tracks already releases in the past on their own records from their own label : Section 37.
A bunch of tracks, all restored (thanks to Mike) and remastered (thanks to AE).

So if you love cold bass lines, post punk drums and a decadent way to sing, you will love Leitmotiv.

All info are available thru our site :

http://brouillard-definitif.fr/#

you can directly buy the record here.

feel free to visit our space also :

http://www.myspace.com/brouillarddefinitif

There is also a brand new section with old stocks from “our” bands, feel free to look if you find something interesting for your ears.
The choice isn’t large yet, but this will grow. Just give us a little bit of time.

Our records to come will be probably :

-Humour Malade LP

-a maxi 12” of Band of Bioskop (Leitmotiv’s post-project)

-a maxi 12” from Guerre Froide

-a mlp of Excès Nocturne.

More to come!

Enjoie.

Just wanted to thank Brouillard Définitif for sending along this fantastic Leitmotiv collection, the packaging is beautiful and as I’ve been searching for the ‘Mourne Libido’ 7” for as long as I can remember its so nice to have it and all these trax gathered together finally.  I strongly urge everyone to buy this release and wish Ms. E.Frau a happy birthday when you do, we’ll be doing a full Leitmotiv retrospective this week at WIERD in NYC!

Oh and by the way everyone at WIERD is eagerly awaiting for Brouillard to re-release collections by our 2 favorite French cold guitar wave bands ever - Gestalt and Sombre Septembre:)
Thankyou Sandra, VRp.

Sandra thankyou so much for the great ‘Humour Malade’ record, amazing trax!  I wish I would have known about this band a long time ago.  It Sounds like a nice combination of Trop Tard and early End of Data, doesn’t get much colder than this!

By the way I heard someone is rereleasing the Trop Tard Tard ‘Ils Etaient 9…’ LP, is that you by any chance?  I hope so, I’d love to hear that masterpiece of a record remastered, I sometimes think it might be the darkest LP ever made. smile

And the “Photodrame” tape is even darker. No wonder the singer commited suicide.

I finally received my copy of the Humour Malade LP!
Congratulations on this superb release Sandra and guys, I hope B.D. will bring out lots more stuff in a similar vein.

This is indeed how coldwave was meant to sound… immensely claustrophobic, icecold and dark, with detached echoing vocals.  My favourite track is definitely “In my mind”!

Great coversleeve too and of course everyone loves clear vinyl grin

Thanks Claudia, and we are happy that you finally received the record. Seems the french post is a bit lazy at anytimes.

Next releases to come :

-A split 7” called “Ligne Froide” between :

A Side : Ligne D’Hiver (80’s)
B Side : Saison Froide (a recent band)

4 totaly decadent tracks from that 2 bands. More news to come soon!

-A 12” from Excès Nocturne, limited to 300 copies with some old tracks reworked on stuido + an unique design per covers.

-A Tribute to Charles de Goal CD (coproduction between Brouillard Définitif and Str8line) including bands who cover Charles de Goal songs such as : Guerre Froide,  Die Perlen, No Tears, Le Jeune Extrême etc etc

That’s not easy to be ready in time but we’re working on all of this!

I was wondering if it’s normal that the Leitmotiv CD has disturbed sound quality on certain tracks?  It’s particularly noticeable on tracks 1,3 and 4.
I don’t mean the normal vinyl cracks or pops, but some weird distorted buzzing..
Do you have noticed that too, or do I have a defective copy maybe??

Thanx in advance for helping me out!!

cheers from Belgium,
Claudia
