I’m sorry, you say Analogue Electronic Music but still I see some artists who use virtual synths and not analogue ones.is it a tribute or do all the artists use analogue instruments?

Well analogue is analogue and digital is digital.
Also in the Wierd website I quote “humanist resistance to a virtual ‘soft synth‘, iPod, and iTunes saturated world of ‘click and drag‘ dematerialized abstraction”
it is refered to M Canterel but shouldnt that apply to all the artists included in an analogue-only compilation by the same label that wrote this?
Isn’t it like selling something in a different package?
Martial Canterel as you all know by now uses entirely vintage gear played entirely live in one go. The statements in the new releases section of the WIERD website about his new album are only in reference to his work.
The artists on the next Compilation, some who have made music using ‘digital’ means in the past, have assured me that the trax they have produced specifically for this particular Compilation have been made using analogue machines. I know all the US artists personally from countless gigs and events we have done together over the years so I can verify this is the case for them. I have no interest in acting as the ‘analogue police’ to spend my valuable time flying to Germany, Greece, Russia, etc. to ‘inspect’ the gear set-ups of the Europeans and other artists but can only take their word for it based on the sounds they produce. So if they have in fact produced their music in other ways please take it up with them elsewhere. I as one flesh and blood human existing in real physical space and time can only do so much
The WIERD Party and record label is not exclusively devoted to analogue electronic music but also showcases guitar/wave, and experimental industrial music as anyone can clearly see from the website and invitation archive.
Of course you shouldn’t waste your time “inspecting” gear set ups, I know you reffered to MC/who uses analogue set’s only and does a great work like you as Wierd aswell.
It’s just that some people know there are names in this upcoming compilation that use purelly digital ways to produse music and obviously have lied to you(since you say they assured you).
Since I know that, isn’t it the right thing to tell you that you have been given false information?
PS.It’s not that the songs may not be GREAT, but do they apply to the term analogue? I don’t think so
Although only a few new songs on it for me I’m glad to see the DB & SA songs get a wider audience…
now I’d just hope some songs to also appear on vinyl! A 2xLP perhaps anyone?
Ahh the Elfin king speaks down from on high in the uppermost peaks of the Dutch alps!, we all love you here Kris man, you gotta come to New York and effusively spout Very Rare post-everything architectural theory w Sean and I over a bottle of single malt and endless hours of 18e Oktober tapes at WIERD man seriously its about time…
Speaking of the Very Rare, our beloved Venezuelan gloomwave master from Miami just called to confirm he finally finished mixing the last track for the WIERD Compilation Volume II:
Prepare for the dark synth pleasures of:
Zug im Veins - ‘Je Suis Un Autre’ (Geert Coppens of Twilight Ritual and Ramiro Jeancarlo of Staccato du Mal)
no no no no post talk from here Pieter! but we could certainly discuss the true intentions of the Gruppo 7 or why Loos has become an instrument for everything an architect wishes to project on modernism.
But architects are wage slaves too…on a diet of bread and water!
Obligatory part of the program for all mortals devoted to the cult of WIERD, when in NY: a pelgrimage in honour and rememberance to the late Simon Ungers.
