V.A.—“Coal Heart for Ever” LP

Very nice comp of Pseudo Code, Kaa Antilope and Waving Ondulata tracks. Highly recommended.

So true, Kaa Antilope are just brilliant on there. Anyone a clue who they were , how to track them down ?

Agreed, especially “Rise up helicopter, like a bird” is a super, wonderful great song.

According to http://www.discogs.com/artist/Kaa+Antilope, the band consists of your old mates Fred and Barney!

I suppose you could start with Alain Neffe, he’s on Myspace, and maybe he’s still in touch with them?

Gee, what’s happening to old animal lover Marc here? Got a taste of antilope blood in your mouth yet, man? And I thought it was Frenchmen you’d taken to of late….. :D

Now playing: Anna Dobiey S/T LP (yesterday’s bargain bin find)

Well,

One method does spring to mind: you send him some records he’s been after for a while like for instance League of Nations or Guerre Froide, and all of a sudden he becomes all friendly with you. Now when he’s compeletely off-guard, you just stun him with that Randfichten track. Rest’s a piece of cake.

This is certified to work, I hear.  At least the bit at the start. 8)

Now playing: Bill Nelson - quit dreaming and get on the beam

Many thanks for the hint, so better be careful when playing the records coming from your next Anna Logue Records order ... wink

btw, why looking for League of Nations and Guerre Froide when you can simply press them yourself ? it’s as easy as peeing…. Pourquoi ne demandes-tu pas à Francois ? Il sait entièrement certainement cela!

Oh, but Bill Nelson’s best must surely be “The Love That Whirls”!

In fact, I think I’ll start my own LIMITED EDITION WHITE-LABEL company, and make limited runs of exclusive collectors items, and when I do, I’ll be sure to include “Empire of the Senses”, one of the most gorgeously insane tracks in my collection.

Which is saying some.

Coming soon on Disques RÉACTOR…

Now playing: El Humano Mecano (from “El Pecado Original” comp LP, dro rec. 1986). Rawk n’roll!

One of my all time favorite bands!
Mark Burgess is such an amazing vocalist and lyricist. One of the best shows I have ever seen. It was just him and a guitar. He was pouring his heart out that night!

Now Frank Dirkx—“La Decadence”

Sleazy minimal listening indeed. Very nice record.

Earlier

Ultravox!—“Systems Of Romance”

Funny how this record from 1978 is always overlooked in terms of being influential. There are so many things there that one can here one/two years later on other records that have gotten much more acclaim.

Later:

I just got this in the mail about 15 minutes ago.

v.a.—“Trumpett Days”
