Minimal Wave Records

As in, the Australian band on M Squared.

Anyone got some more info about them? I got some tracks on a comp today, and I’m dumbstruck… must be some of the best stuff I’ve heard in _quite_ a while.

Who are they? What did they release? What did they do afterwards? Where are all those necro - sorry, retro - minimal labels who ought to re-release their first cassette demo or something?

all of the Systematics material - releases, demos, some live stuff - is being re-released (on vinyl only!) by a couple of German enthusiasts. the latest idea is a 3 LP box set. timing is fluid but it should happen this year. for info, etc see my site: http://www.users.bigpond.com/pturnbul/nns_band.htm

the systematics release is coming up soon. mastering has been completed.

also a 5 LP collection of M2 studio cassette releases (and odds and sods) will be released next year on vinyl on demand. it will include pat gibson solo, acra, prod, makers of the dead travel fast and scattered order - lots of synths on these.

in case you didn’t know, VoD also have out a 5 LP compilation of early Severed Heads material called Adenoids. well worth investigating.

Available Mid November

The Sytematics release should be available in mid November. The cover art is done and test pressings are almost ready.
