When I was in Berlin 2 years ago the only place that I remember playing minimal electronics was Duncker club, it was Monday I think..
The fun part was the program..
when I entered they were playing death metal, after half an hour they played a song by E.Neubauten
and then they started started the minimal set..
after some songs they changed it to metal again of course
crazy stuff…
When you are in Berlin you should stop by the Drehmoment record store and talk to Thomas. He will know if there are some interesting minimal electro parties. Besides there is a Solvent live gig inside the Drehmoment record store at the 18th which should be fun as well.
where you click on “PLZ-Bereich 1” on the left (that site doesn’t allow me to hotlink directly to that section). You should be able to make sense of it without having to take up German classes.
I can also warmly recommend a visit to Das Drehmoment. Remember to bring some cash!
Really had a fantastic trip. Though it was for work… I squeezed in some good record shopping with Dr. Kernkrach, a dash over to two clubs (Funeral Party & Duncker) and reunions with old friends! Good to be back in Das Drehmoment… Thomas cracks me up.
Plus I picked up a new toy from an old Prenzlauer berg friend.
Smuggled my synth in the dead of night back to Miami!
