[quote author=“reactorlgtn”] I’m sure most collectors would be able to add a hundred bands to the list.

and thats the point smile

[quote author=“falck”]e.g. Guerre Froide are not a minimal synth band either.

Let’s wait for their new maxi coming soon after vacations, you will see if it’s not minimal either.  8)

I really got that one on the radar. More minimal and a vinyl release ... raspberry

Could we maybe punch a hole in the time-space continuum and have it released earlier?  :D

Dear all,

I wonder if you guys ever heard some of PSYCHE’s early works released on the “Tales from the Darkside” CD, with outstanding tracks stretching back to 1982 ? (If not, this shall be the tip of day, buy it, must-have in my opinion)

So, if you don’t call THIS minimal electronics, then all my knowledge about electronic music is nihil…

In the early days they were clearly influenced by both industrial/experimental/atonal (Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire, Chrome, etc.) music and electro/pop (Trans-X, Fad Gadget).

[quote author=“nuit-exterieur”]neural circus , john bender, ob minimax, early severed heads…little to no high-profile production…just some folks with peculiar relationships to synthesizers and their home studio…psyche, iron curtain, Xmal, league of nations are pop groups…mind you quite nice and at times a bit wave and melancholic, but the ethic remains resolutely pop..

OB Minimax?

you have to be hidden deep under ground if it’s your definition of pop

I completely agree with Marc.  “Tales From The Darkside” is an excellent resumé of what Psyche did in the very beginning when they were not as plain poppy as they are now.
