Morning Reactorlgtn,

Seems we’re less into wreaking havoc now than we were back in the good old days LOL

http://www.twilightritual.com actually takes you directly to Micrart, so same source.

Forgot to mention that “The Ritual” also contains “Surrounded”, arguably the best Twilight Ritual song. That one is also to be found on Genetic’s Reminiscent 3 LP box, which - surprise, surprise - also contains “Night in June”.

Great stuff.

[quote author=“falck”]I was bit suprised to find Parade Ground on this list, I must admit. Back in my EBM days, I bought their Cut-up LP and resold it rather quickly. If I remember correctly the “Strange World” single was the only thing I liked on there at the time, so they didn’t really rate as candidates for expensive cult items for me.

Wouldn’t mind having a listen to Man in a Trance smile

To come back on Parade Ground.  They will perform live on 30th of June at Hof Ter Loo in Antwerp (Belgium), presenting their new album.  Their last gig at the same venue some years ago was no succes (noise songs), but nevertheless, I’m quite curious about this new album…

I have seen Parade Ground at BIM, but was puzzled by their performance. Was the gig ment to be that noisy or had the PA fallen asleep?
Still they sold mint copies of their first 7” for very reasonable prices, so I am not complaining. grin

[quote author=“falck”]Hi Eight6,

Well, there’s quite a bit of stuff that has been released by Twilight Ritual.

THE collector item is 1985’s LP “Rituals” released in Spain on Auxilio de Cientos containing e.g. “I never called you a dream”.

What is a bit less of a collectors’ item is the LP re-issue from (allegedly) 1988 (you can check out the related thread in the re-issues forum).

Rituals also got re-released on CD by Genetic Music not too long ago.

More info on their releases can be found on their official website:
http://www.twilightritual.com/

I also ordered their 1982 album The Ritual (which never got released on vinyl) as a CDR from Peter, I like it a lot, of the track “Webbmen” there is also a current 12” release (Flexx).

Hope this helped preventing a murder…  8)

Thank you for the information…I’ll be ordering a copy of the CD.

[quote author=“minicold”][quote author=“Echo_Frau”]Dark White is a killer!

I have this record too.  First of all, in my opinion, it is NOT minimal; just synth/dark wave.  I hear some echoes of Gary Numan, à;Grumh and old Clan of Xymox in it.  5 tracks on it of which 1 is a remix of one of the other tracks.

It’s also quite EBMish to my ears smile

There is a single by a band calld “Plastic Dolls” released on 1984 in Greece, it’s called “The End”. I’ve never heard any of the tracks but I’ve heard a couple of people describe the music as too simplistic, which sounds good to me
Anyway the record is damn rare, here is some info

Perhaps someone has it on mp3?

well, i do not think that tapes should be mentioned here… they are definitely the most rare items around, the majority of the groups had only demo tapes, only a few managed to have a vinyl release…..

Plastic Dolls a-side “don’t foget me” is a simple minimalistic synth-pop song, while the b-side “the end” is synthy dark-wave…..

a great 7”, totally undiscovered and, truly, extremely rare… the rarest vinyl release from Greece (speaking of new wave records…)...
