CR-78:

Thanks for reminding me you’re American smile

Of course I just invented that while in reality George Bush’s campaign convinced me and I made a vow to marry as a virgin   :D

But that’s the risk when you’re registered with two many: damn, wrong forum indeed

I “live” in America but contrary to popular belief that does not make “one” American…..

Silly me, jumping to the wrong conclusions again.  smile

Prince Ludwig the Indestructible offers you his sincere ahpolo-gies. Know where this one is from? Hint: no connection to music.

Anyway, what kind of forum was this? Minimal Wave? Topic of thread: vinyl?

Blackadder - British comedy at its best.

Pre-career-move Rowan Atkinson in all his pre-Mister Bean - pre-Johnny English - pre-whatever - glory.

Season 2, Episode: “Chains”.

Originating from a culture alien to even the concept of humour, this is what I use as a blueprint in order to emulate it.  :D

But I think it really looks like this thread is coming to an end, unless of course somebody has some fresh new input why to be into vinyl apart from its superior sound, duration, the fetish factor (that vinyl sniffing is becoming ever more tempting, I have to admit :D ) and your option to use it as a bowl - qualities no bloody CD on the planet can provide.

Well, maybe we could have an extra forum here like “philosophy” or “nonsense”? (bloody hell, I’m repeating myself again 8) )..

hehehe…yes…I;m familiar with the Blackadder.
I have watched it a few times in the past but not enough to recognize quotes.

Another good one was Red Dwarf!

The thing that bugs me most about records is…recordplayers.
There isnt a single decent and affordable one on the market that’s suitable for the living room and looks good with your other components (yes I’m that type of guy). Technics and those turntables are nice but not for the living room.
A lot of modern receivers dont have phono pre-amp anymore either, so you have to buy an expensive and ugly box to put in between.

Not that I have a living room or something…but i like to prepare for the day I actually have one.
