Hey, I’m german and on the forum…

It was a great festival from the beginning on.

RINGEL-S were really good, not too serious like so many other bands. Nice and danceable modern pop music with sometimes funny lyrics.

ECHO WEST were good as ever but for me the set was to experimental. I mostly like them for their melodic tunes and so their set didn’t fit my personall taste.

32CRASH - a project with J.L.deMeyer from Front242 on vocals. Very modern but not too much.

PROCEED - not my cup of tea, too much like Nitzer Ebb or other with german shouted vocals. I went away from the stage after a few songs.

ABSOLUTE BODY CONTROL were greatfantasticamazingimpressive. It was a great gig and I really hope to see ABC again in the future.

REVCO SOUND SYSTEM - no sorry… too many heavy rock attitude. After Luc spitting water into the crowd (nice I stood right in front of him at the stage… ) Not my business and I really was happy not to hear too much of it.

KARL BARTOS / AUDIVISION - amazing !!! A lot old Kraftwerk songs included and even his own songs with his friends from Audiovision are very good. I was very very tired but it was really worth it to stay awake.

Overall it was great and very nice to meet all the others like Mike, Lieven, Sandra, Spartak, Martin, Dirk (2x), Jochem, Steve, Jörg, Hans etc…

First time I saw Echo West and I found it really good.  Most of the songs were of the last cd.  Don’t know if they played “In Pop We Trust”, but they certainly played “Calling” (another pearl of the same cd) and a song of Silent Signals (don’t know the title, but it was fantastic).
Furthermore they also played “Time of Brokened Ties” (a forgotten goodie from “Echoes of the West”).

Not to cut the flow of this topic but were the ABC boxsets for sale?
Somebody mentioned it here.
If they were how are they?

I posted this.  But Dirk told me at the beginning of the event that there was a delay and that they only had 17 boxes that he could sell to the people from abroad that signed in before to get this copy.  This meant no box for me neither. :(
Anyway, the box will be available in a few days.  I’m lucky to live in Belgium, so I can get my copy without paying the high shippingscosts.  For those who live abroad, it will be an expensive box. :?
Dirk was quite disappointed that this happened like this…

I’m a member of VOD so I will just have to wait :(
I was just wondering about how they look.
VOD makes quality stuff in nice 180gm vinyl so I’m not worried
Just curious LOL  LOL and dying to see them!!!!
