i wouldn’t have bought this one on its own (bought some Sleep Chamber in the late 80s / early 90s and wasn’t into it), but i’m a VOD subscriber so i got the box…

it’s not amazing stuff IMO, but the first LP and the 7” are definitely pure minimal - all processed drum-machines (early Cabs style) and mumbled vox through tape delay. just some occasional synth added to that

i listened to sideA of LP2, and i think i’ve heard all i need to hear from the rest of it

received my vod-pack a couple of weeks ago
as for sleep chamber i only managed to listen to the 7” (loved it) and the first lp (okay but a bit boring)
the hunting lodge box is absolutely gorgeous!

Niels Jensen - The Great Sightseeing Tour (1984)

Had never heard of the guy until I recently found that record at a fair. Predominantly synth.
“Propaganda” and “Montag goes to far” are definitely worth a listen as well as “Metallic Boys” which starts out rather introvert and then at the end turns into minor noise orgy. Lyrics are rather abstract, at times in a negative sense as in “trying too hard to sound crazy for the sake of sounding crazy”.

Still, recommended!

That’s great,i’m going to the last 2 dates…..
And they are indeed good live,but most of the time it’s the same,evening after evening,no change in setlist for example…
