Suppose he deleted them himself after he got two replies of the type “well I know this seller, he’s straight”?

Anyway:

I put a bid on the Transparent Illusion, some days ago, before LesYP posted. I got well and truly overbid, but afterwards, EBAY has now removed all the auctions!

In the email I got from them, it says:
“We removed this item from the Site and cancelled your bid because it appears that the seller’s account has been compromised and used by an unauthorized third party. The seller’s privileges to trade on eBay may be temporarily suspended while we investigate this matter further. Due to privacy concerns we will not be able to share further details related to this seller.”

Whoops!
Glad I didn’t bid! Phew…

grin Let’s hope those who won the auctions didn’t yet pay!

And of course, already I see that I owe LesYpersound a big THANKS for the warning. Chances are I wouldn’t win Das Kabi, but I wanted it pretty badly, so I probably would have tried for it…

Fluke!

I placed a bid too but it seems the auctions were removed due to an ebay error. In fact you forgot agterwards ebay sent another message to all of the bidders…

Dear ******* (*******@******.com),

You recently had placed a bid on item number(s):

*****************

which had been removed by eBay. After review of this listing, we have found that it was removed in error.

As a result, we have informed the seller that they may relist their item if they wish to do so. Please feel free to re-bid on this item under the new item number. To locate the new item number, please check the sellers list of items at:

http://pages.ebay.com/search/items/search_seller.html

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Regards,

eBay Inc

And this is not a fake email, the hidden part was my full name. The auctions were reinstated.
The guy who started this topic probably had other interests and tried to get those auctions removed but it was caught. Even his messages were deleted from this forum, the proof he didn’t delete himself is that even other messages from other users were deleted. It was an administrative cancellation. I had a good experience with this seller just like Profitis. Just my two cents.

The auctions that are of interest to this forum, ie Das Kabinette, Inertia, Neon 7 and Transparent Illusion, have not been relisted, neither as active or closed auctions. (I feel no urge to buy Elton John rarities). I contacted the seller this morning after he, too, wrote to all bidders and said he’d relist due to an error of the “idiot” ebay system.

I can’t tell you for sure about the motives of Lesypersound, but it is a fact that the seller Seriousga has 23 feedbacks, all for cheap buyer’s items. A shop wanting to start selling on Ebay might of course start with buying some cheapo items to get + feedback, thereby inspiring confidence, but I’ve also seen new shops starting out with 0 feedback…

The thing is, why would anyone want to inspire confidence - if not to break it?

Also, the range of items is unusual. All the items are well into three figures, if not four, and covering many different genres. Nothing wrong with it, but as I said, it’s unusual.

Oh, anyway, if the synth items are gone, they’re gone, and this discussion is fruitless…
