SUDETEN CRECHE – A Kiss from the Creche CDR-EP UK 2009 CW001 5 Tracks 19’54’‘
After a renewed interest in their group, Mark and Paul teamed up again as SUDETEN CRECHE in 2007 to record a few new tracks and subsequently a 7”EP was released on Anna Logue Records including the tracks “Glorious Treason”, “Wounds” and the exclusive track “Rogues”. Also a re-issue 12”EP was released on Minimal Wave in 2008. “A Kiss from the Creche” compiles some final mixes and tracks and comes self-released. “Glorious Treason” is electropop at its best and so great for the dancefloor, here now with Paul on vocals. “Blood on the Carpet” is equally great, as always coolest sequencing here. “My Beloved” is SUDETEN CRECHE’s interpretation of an original song by German group SOLITUDE FX, who played this song only live so far, once in front of Mark even. Next is another cover version which fits quite nicely to the whole picture: “Kolly Kibber’s Birthday”, originally by JULIAN COPE. Last track is a remix of “Wounds” by German duo A.W.o.L., giving it quite an italo disco touch. Let’s hope this wasn’t the last thing we heard from Mark and Paul, there is still a promised full time album to be released, no?!
CDR-EPs are new, limited to 200 copies and Anna’s copies come signed.
