Front Line Assembly - Total Terror I & II CDs, really landmark EBM, he was so creative in his early years!

THE NAMES - Swimming
1982 full-length album by this Belgian band. Melancholic sounding postpunk/wave with a rather desolate atmosphere. Water sounds(!) fill up the gaps between each track. Strongly recommended for people who are into that typical Factory-sound or bands like The Wake, The Chameleons, Five Or Six, etc…
Got this LP a few weeks ago as a present from my husband and I like it a lot grin

Danny was totally excited about your stand, he could have spend five times as much if he had the $$ haha

KAA ANTILOPE - VPRO RadioNome April 2 1982
A wonderful release on M’s equally wonderful label. It’s so good to have these radio session recordings from this Belgian cultband, as I like these versions even better than the original versions on the 7”. For example, a classic track like “Break of the day” sounds definitely rawer and slightly more dark here. Great stuff.

Silicon Scientist - Home

News of the new release from the Silicon Scientist reminded me of this, my favourite SS track. Beautiful, looking forward to listening to the new stuff.

In a minute though I will play two songs off Rational Youth’s “Cold War Night Life” that I just remembered in another thread on this forum grin

Yesterday’s record fair produced two highlights:

U.K. Viva - Mr. Mystery/Radio Saviour 7” 1980

Not on Discogs yet but I saw the B-side went on one of the New Wave Complex comps. I just want to ask here: why on earth the bloody B-side? Mr Mystery is the far better track. DIY post-punk with fantastic synth lines. Yeah baby, yeah!

Les Vampyrettes - Biomutanten

From the B-side of Holger Czukay’s “The Photo Song” 12”, originally released in 1981.

Slow malstrom-esque sound with a distorted mutant voice not surprisingly talking about mean menancing mutants. Killer track! Beware of the Biomutanten!
