I looked at the discogs copy, and compared it to my copy which I believe to be original. My copy does say.
Night Moves
Trans Dance GC2
and it is stamped in about the same location. The labels on my copy are white, and the lettering looks skinnier than the pink label one on discogs.
The pinkish looking label might be a result of the camera, and lighting though, and the bulkiness of the lettering might be due to it being an early stamped copy. So that might be an original copy as well.
The copy I have also has “1983” hand written on it in red marker, and 44 rpm written on it in blue pen. I can’t imagine someone would bootleg the record, and then start handwriting stuff on it with different writing instruments. That makes me think that this copy is not a bootleg.
The other reason I don’t think it is a bootleg is I won it from a swedish seller 4 years ago for a little over $100 and it was not listed very correctly on ebay.
Also, back when you could see who was the under bidder I saw that I had outbid Scientronic. Subsequently, when he decided to sell his collection he sent a list of everything he had which included The Night Moves GC2 12”. I don’t imagine he would bid $110 on a bootleg if he already had the record. He was most likely trying to win it for trade or to sell.
Also, if the GC2 12” was bootlegged then it seems there would be a copy on ebay once a week, and I never see it on ebay.
Anyway, those are my thoughts.
