What if the Grim Reaper comes knocking on your door a bit early? Who knows what to play as a last salute? Who remembers the names you wispered under a flickering candlelight?

So here goes:
Nine Circles (oh the irony) - Twinkling Stars
Martial Canterel - 3 Days
Vanila Pakt - Andaluziya

Haha, the new log-on procedure is really great, I got asked “are you human”, and the system wouldn’t let me in when I typed “how the fuck do I know” so I was foreced to enter yes 8)

Well,

Death in June - Roseclouds of Holocaust
Deine Lakeien - Forest
The Cure - Siamese Twins

and stuff like that does spring to mind of course, BUT, Spart, seriously, what kind of thread is this, IT’S AUGUST for crying out loud, AUGUST, as in sunny beaches, bikini babes and cocktails with funny little umbrellas in them.  8O

One might think it was you how turned 40 recently…

Already had my sunny beach times two weeks ago, so it’s back to the regular gloomy program.

But mainly have been playing lots of nine circles material the last few weeks / months and that song is just so powerful and fitting as a farewell message from the other side it had to be said.
The other mentioned songs have a similar nature yet hold a different message i would like to convey on such an occasion. So i was curious if other people have similar thoughts to particular songs.

Those interested in the lyrics for andaluzya (courtesy to alone):

tri… dva… jedan… [three… two… one…]
pogledaj vreme, nije se promenilo [look at the time, it didn’t change]
svetlost pada na isti pod [light falls on the same floor]
i dalje idem kroz iste sobe [still i’m walking the same rooms]
i boje su iste, malo izbledele [and colours are same, slightly faded]
film se premotava jer ja bio sam ovde i ranije [film rewinds because i’ve been here before]

video sam sve [i saw it all]
moj svet [my world]
dalje [further]
idi dalje [go further]

Very good threat from Spartak. For me:
- Autumn: Kiss Me
- Nine Circles: What’s there left
- Joy Division: Atmosphere
- Berntholer: My Suitor
- Nick Cave: Into my Arms
The songs from Nine Circles are very powerful indeed. I can listen to them every day. But not now, I’m sitting on Pattaya beach in Thailand
LOL

yeah what if you dont have any children to take care of your musical heritage…for me i would probably give it to a young artist i admire and who i’d be sure to take good care of it (and find inspiration in). He (or she) needs to promise not to sell any of it though!

[quote author=“Woody Allen”]Rather than live on in the hearts and minds of my fellow man, I’d prefer to live on in my apartment.

Can I interest any of you nihilists in a “sex is far better than logic, but unfortunately I can’t prove that” thread?  :D
