old shows are available for download as mp3s [sometimes after a week or two], in the ‘flexipunk’ folder at the bottom of   page.

since the variety of genres is big and a show is short, i tend to make ‘theme shows’, most of them concentrated around one genre or idea. here is the list of the themes so far, so pick the ones which might interest you:

flexipunk #1 is a mish-mash
flexipunk #2, #3 and #5 are party mixes made for FLEXIPOP party in belgrade [  ].
flexipunk #4 is 1st in ‘dekadentropijat’ series of murky gloomy ambient mixes. think: coil ‘the dreamer is still asleep’.
flexipunk #6 is a mix made for ‘tesla’s birthday party’ in belgrade few years ago. from ambient to high tech rhythmic noise, but hypnotic throughout. think: uranium ussr1972.
flexipunk #7 is a mish-mash, with a short spotlight on late 80’s bombastic digital technopop. think mid 80’s g. numan.
flexipunk #8 is tr00 ELECTROPUNK! no shit here.
flexipunk #9 is russian special! electro from russia only, or related to russia. very recommended!
flexipunk #10 is mostly contemporary high-tech technopop. think: rational youth ‘to the godess electricity’ album.
flexipunk #11 is mostly ‘great hits’ of minimal electronic. common stuff in here, like iko and moderne.

flexipunk #12 [coming next sunday, 10th january] will be very special low-fi gloomy melancholic mix. almost nothing audible above 400hz think: fall of saigon - swimmer.

so don’t take off your helmets just yet, because this week [on sunday 24th january 2010] we’ll play a ‘prequel’ mix to the last week’s biker mix, and it’s called

‘fuck art school, i’m gonna be a troto-biker queen!’

conceived as a soundtrack for an imaginery teenage drama / comedy about a girl from good home who gives up her career in art, to become a member of a dangerous street gang… but discovers that all other scum in the gang are actually ex-conceptual ultra-avangarde artists, and she ends up as their most miserable servant. ambition is defeated, but art lives on!

although there are some contemporary tunes in it, this mix is probbably most “80’s” in spirit, of all mixes thus far. synth tunes go without saying!

after several neat and easy-listening ‘bodypop’ shows [available as mp3s in ‘flexipunk’ folder on http://radio.elektrana.net/ ], it’s high time to get some dirt back in our ears! the upcoming two flexipop shows take you back to the rust of corroded analogue synths of old [and new] post-punk garage bands, amplified sawtooths and broken cymbals… but BE WARNED: GUITAR ACTION IS AT HIGH RATE! electro-purists and electro-indoctrinated patients should be treated to this program with assistance of elders. cases of earbleeding should be stopped by further increasing the sound pressure, i.e. raising the volume further, until the pain-induced catharsis.
